This is a “turnkey” modification at Greasy’s – Make your appointment today to drive in with your stock MINI or BMW, and drive out with a new “wheeeeeeee” modification!
What is the D1 Spec throttle controller?
Most of the late model cars have “Drive-By-Wire” system so the amount of throttle is modulated based on the voltage. With this throttle controller, now you can control the pedal to throttle to improve the throttle response at a ideal position. The D1 Spec throttle controller features 3 modes (12 settings) :
1) Normal (standard behavior)
2) Sports **9 settings**
3) Economic **5 settings**, speed warning feature
At Greasy’s, we are always looking for Mods for the Mini which have a high “Bang for the buck”. Well, this is definitely one of them. The end result will be noticed instantly!
What does it feel like when I’m driving it?
It will feel like the supercharger is constantly engaged – you’ll always have throttle power when you need it. MINI’s are notorious for “throttle lag” – that is, stepping on the gas sometimes can feel like the Flintstones car. It takes a few seconds for the RPMs to rise, and then the car takes off like a rocket!
With the throttle controller, the power is instantly on – no more throttle lag!
How do I get it?
Make your appointment TODAY at Greasy’s Garage. $190 installed – and no need to bring in the part – Greasy’s has them in stock. Call (508) – 754-7327 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The D1 doesn’t offer any more horsepower, however, it significantly speeds up the throttle response and allows you to feel more “connected” to your vehicle. Installation is easy as it comes with a plug and play wiring harness and enough wire length for YOU to decide where you would like the control unit and module mounted.
How does it install?
We’ve got step-by-step photos of our install process, including shots of the finished controller. Take a peek at our gallery:

Most folks now know that carbon buildup on the valves in the R56 MINIs and Countryman is a real concern. This happens partly because of the direct fuel injection, and partly because of the PCV routing. While direct injection is great for efficiency, it means that fuel is no longer sprayed through the intake and over the valves keeping them clean. The PCV (crankcase oil vapor) system is routed back through the intake and causes a carbon buildup on the valves.
Limited quantities of PowerFlex bushings are now IN STOCK!
Over time, stock rubber bushings will cause your car to lose its factory steering precision. Replacing those with high-performance polyurethane bushes by PowerFlex will lengthen the life of the bushing, and restore your car’s steering capabilities.
